Kofi Odoom's Story
Hi, my name is Kofi Odoom. In 2011, I started tutoring undergraduate and graduate business students, and coaching owners of start-up companies. People chose to work with me because of my approach. I have a gift for coming up with explanations to help people relate to complicated and technical information. I bring various business concepts to life by relating theory to real-world examples – linking what’s taught in the classroom to the knowledge, skills, and abilities you will need for real-world success.
I believe that when people are engaged in learning experiences that they see the relevance of, they have increased motivation to learn.
I have earned a Master’s degree in Accounting and Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Iowa State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Luther College.

Our mission is to bridge gaps in education by simplifying concepts and facilitating the application of theory to realistic situations.
Odoom Academy has adopted Blooms’ classification of levels of learning. This approach is designed to go beyond simple recall and move life-long learners toward using knowledge, comprehension and application to achieve analysis, synthesis and evaluation
Universities, Colleges, and Training Institutes
We have plans to scale Odoom Academy to come along-side various tertiary institutions in North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania, to be able to provide much needed experiential learning. The academy’s tutorials, simulations, and games will be designed to present students with unfamiliar situations and tasks just as they would in a real-world context.
Students will have to figure out what they know, what they do not know, and how to learn it. This will requires students to: reflect on their prior knowledge and deepen it through reflection; transfer their previous learning to new contexts; master new concepts, principles, and skills; and be able to articulate how they developed this mastery. Ultimately, these skills will create students who become self-directed, life-long learners.
Odoom Academy will also cater to business organizations, enabling them to compete globally by providing entire organizations access to Odoom Academy’s vast library of high quality, on-demand videos, tools, and simulations. These vast resources will enable team members within various organizations stay abreast of the latest trends and ideas in the business world.
These new ideas can be immediately incorporated to get organizations operating at their full potential. To become a learning organization, we recommend setting aside a few hours every month for each employee. This will provide the opportunity for greater insight on how new ideas or theories might be put to practical use in your own organization.
